About 10 years ago, John Hooi had a simple idea and a desire to make a difference. He wondered why parents had to adjust their family’s busy schedules and drive half way across town just to put their child in another classroom with more kids…when in fact it was the classroom experience that their child was struggling with in the first place.

Over the last 10 years, the Tutor Doctor vision has taken shape. In 2003 the company turned to franchising as a way of expanding the company’s impact and meeting the vast market demand.

Now with offices internationally, the Tutor Doctor vision is becoming a reality as the lives of students and their families are being positively impacted.

I am the proud owner of the first locally owned Tutor Doctor in Minnesota and am thrilled to be serving the south metro area of the Twin Cities!

My many years of professional corporate experience, volunteer work in the local public schools and non-profit organizations, in addition to my degree in Elementary Education, has led me to this opportunity to own my own business focusing on serving the community and helping students succeed.

Jason Cameron, Marketing Director and Technology Support
JC has over 18 years experience working in business and marketing. He has his undergrad degree in International Relations and French from the University of Richmond, and his MBA from the Carlson School of Business, U of M.

Jason Bennett, Admin Support and Events Coordinator
Jason is currently a student at the U of M majoring in Busines Administration.

Stacy Bennett, Social Media Coordinator
Stacy is a senior at ASU and will graduate in May 2012 with a degree in Journalism (focusing on Communications and Public Relations).

We have over 30 very qualifed, experienced tutors including certified teachers and math and science majors.  All have college degrees and a desire to make a difference for students!
