Life is an education, and education is for life.
We all owe our education to a great many people other than ourselves. Our parents, our teachers, our mentors, and our friends have all played a vital role in helping us establish the base of knowledge we rely on every day. However, sometimes, even all of this support is not enough. All of us, from time to time, have needed individualized help to progress and achieve the greatest heights of our expectations. It is in this spirit that Tutor Doctor and Kimberly Harris wish to help you, or your children, acquire the opportunity of success which is a great and meaningful education.
Kimberly Harris has lived her life as an advocate of education. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio, before becoming a licensed Professional Counselor for troubled children and teens at Laurel Ridge Hospital in San Antonio.
After several years, Kimberly accepted an opportunity to be a pharmaceutical representative, a job which she held for almost 10 years. In the meantime, she married and had two amazing boys. Despite a successful tenure as a Sales Representative, Kimberly was laid off in 2009, after her company was bought out. With the stress and fear of an unknown future, she decided to seize the moment as an opportunity to turn her career into something more meaningful. She wanted a career that would have a positive impact on others, as well as providing a better work/life balance for her family. When she discovered Tutor Doctor, her desire to match a career with her beliefs, her family, and her dreams of owning a business were met.
Kimberly's passion for Tutor Doctor is grounded in her experience in education, counseling, sales and motherhood. From this perspective and through one on one, personal focus, Kimberly Harris and Tutor Doctor wish to help all of our clients fulfill the potential within them.
